Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice : Trailer Review

By on April 20, 2015

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice teaser trailer is finally here. Still a year to go before the movie is out but this will do. When Zak Snyder is behind the camera it’s always a virtual treat from the first frame.

Verdict: this trailer is underwhelming as hell. The opening with the voice overs carries about 4 different ideas giving the impression that the plot might be convoluted as hell. “Absolute power corrupts absolutely” that’s one idea which I feel could have been unspoken but communicated through story…just saying. There’s one that goes “history has shown that it’s a bad idea to follow a powerful man” or something like that, that’s another idea that might need 2 hours to explore. Then you get to the biblical allegories, False god and “Devils from come from underneath us, they come from the sky”. Makes you wonder when the superhero fighting is gonna start while unpacking all these concepts.

The lack of action shots doesn’t help either. They got 2 minutes to show us stuff and they don’t spend it showing Batman kicking Superman’s ass.

The trailer doesn’t look fun at all, it’s fictional characters that take themselves too seriously. That worries me.

What do you guys think? Good or bad, the comment section is all yours.
